She was born to Maria Donata (Denicola) and Fausto Finelli in Roseto Valfortore, Foggia, Italy. She was the first born of six children. Loving sister to Lucia Moccia (Finelli) (deceased August 21, 2012), Pompeo Finelli (deceased April 21, 2017) and Giuseppe Finelli (deceased February 4, 2018).
