It is with great sadness that the family of Andrea Iannone announces his passing at the age of 98, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Andrea will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 67 years, Lucia (nee Di Iorio), and children Maria (late Mario), and Domenic (Betty). Andrea will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Andrea, Daniel, and Laura. He was the brother of predeceased Caterina (late Leonardo) and Carmela (late Filippo), and survived by Angelina (late Carmine), Donata (late Benitto), and brother-in-law to Lucia (late Filippo Di Iorio). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Andrea was born on May 13, 1921 in Roseto Valfortore, Italy. He was a WWII Veteran and a Prisoner of War who served his country with honour. He was always strong willed and determined to live everyday to its fullest. He overcame many medical obstacales in his lifetime; most notably the stroke he survived at the age of 59. Andrea’s kindness and lighthearted nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Sat. & Sun. from 5-9 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Toronto, ON. Funeral mass on Monday 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 61 Jutland Road, Toronto, ON. Entombment Glendale Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
